Infinix Unveils Note 40 Series Racing Edition

Infinix has announced a new Racing Edition of its Note 40 smartphone series, developed in collaboration with BMW Group Designworks. This special edition aims to bring a touch of motorsport flair to the mid-range smartphone market.

Design That Captures Speed

The Racing Edition features a distinctive Wings of Speed design on the back panel, created using advanced UV transfer printing. BMW's iconic tri-color racing stripes make an appearance on the camera bump, while the rest of the device sports a sleek metallic silver finish.

More Than Skin Deep

While the hardware remains unchanged from the standard Note 40 series, the Racing Edition includes:

  • Exclusive wallpapers
  • Custom UI elements inspired by racing circuits
  • A unique software experience that complements the exterior design

Global Availability

The Racing Edition treatment will be applied to all five models in the Note 40 lineup:

  • Note 40 4G
  • Note 40 5G
  • Note 40 Pro 4G
  • Note 40 Pro 5G
  • Note 40 Pro+

Pricing starts at $209 for the base model and goes up to $329 for the top-tier Pro+. However, exact pricing may vary by region.

Coming Soon

Infinix has confirmed a June 19th launch date for the Racing Edition in Malaysia. It remains to be seen whether all five variants or only a select few will be available in each market.

This collaboration between Infinix and BMW Group Designworks demonstrates an interesting trend of smartphone manufacturers partnering with automotive brands to create special edition devices. While the changes are primarily cosmetic, it offers tech enthusiasts a unique way to express their passion for both cutting-edge mobile technology and motorsport heritage.
