The upcoming Honor Magic7 Pro has made an early appearance, courtesy of the company's CEO George Zhao. In a recent live broadcast event, Zhao offered tech enthusiasts a tantalizing glimpse of the highly anticipated flagship smartphone, set to launch on October 30th.
While the device was strategically concealed in a protective case to maintain an air of mystery, several key design elements were still visible:
-
Pill-shaped cutout : The front of the Magic7 Pro sports a distinctive pill-shaped cutout at the top of the display, housing the selfie camera and advanced 3D facial recognition hardware.
-
Slim bezels : As expected from a premium 2024 smartphone, the Magic7 Pro appears to feature extremely thin bezels surrounding the display.
-
Possible curved display : Although the protective case obscures some details, there are hints that the Magic7 Pro may retain a curved screen similar to its predecessor. However, some speculation suggests Honor could opt for a flat or micro-curved design this time around.
-
Large camera island : While the exact camera configuration remains hidden, the case's cutouts indicate a sizeable camera module on the rear of the device. At least three primary cameras are expected, despite only two being visible in the teaser.
Interestingly, during the same event, CEO Zhao addressed questions about potential collaborations with Huawei. He stated that Honor currently has no plans to utilize Huawei's Kirin chips in their devices, noting that the possibility of using Kirin chips in the short term is not very high.
With the official unveiling just two weeks away, Honor fans can expect more details about the Magic7 Pro's specifications, camera capabilities, and unique features to emerge soon. The inclusion of 3D facial scanning technology suggests Honor is doubling down on advanced biometric security, potentially positioning the Magic7 Pro as a strong competitor in the high-end smartphone market.
