Delta Force Tactical FPS Launches Global Open Beta on December 5

Team Jade's highly anticipated tactical first-person shooter, Delta Force, is set to make its global debut much sooner than expected. The game's open beta, which essentially serves as an early access launch, will begin on December 5, 2024, for PC players worldwide.

Accelerated Launch Due to Positive Reception

Originally slated for a 2025 release, Delta Force's development has been expedited due to rapid progress and an overwhelmingly positive response during the Steam Next Fest. The game has already garnered significant attention, becoming the 4th most wishlisted title on Steam with over two million wishlists.

What to Expect in the Open Beta

The open beta, dubbed Genesis, will offer players a comprehensive experience of Delta Force's multiplayer component, including:

  • Full live-service content updates
  • New weapons, vehicles, and operators
  • Unique maps for both Warfare and Hazard Operations modes
  • UI improvements and gameplay mechanics refinements
  • Expanded server support and language options

It's important to note that while progress during the open beta will be reset for the full launch, account-linked rewards will carry over.

Addressing Concerns and Future Plans

Team Jade acknowledges that cheating has been a significant issue during the demo phase and is working to minimize this problem before the open beta launch. Additionally, while PC players will get early access, console and mobile versions are planned for release in 2025, with more details expected early next year.

A Blend of Popular FPS Elements

Delta Force aims to combine elements from popular shooters like Battlefield and Escape from Tarkov, offering a tactical multiplayer experience with a variety of game modes. The developers are also working on a single-player campaign based on the events of Black Hawk Down, though its release date has not yet been announced.

As the spiritual successor to a franchise that began in 1998, Delta Force represents a significant undertaking for Team Jade, known for their work on Call of Duty: Mobile and the popular Chinese PC shooter Assault Fire. With its imminent launch, Delta Force is poised to make a substantial impact on the tactical FPS genre.
