Global Rollout Timeline

The global deployment of HyperOS 2 is scheduled to begin this November, contrary to earlier leaked reports suggesting a 2025 launch. The first wave of updates will target Xiaomi's recent flagship devices, including the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro, followed by the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra. The Xiaomi 13T Pro will also receive the update this month, along with the Redmi Note 13 series and several Poco devices including the X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro, and M6 Pro.

December Update Schedule

December will see a broader rollout encompassing more devices, including older flagship models. The update will reach the Xiaomi 13T, Poco F6, and M6, as well as previous generation devices from the Xiaomi 13, 12, and 11 series. The Redmi lineup, including the Redmi 13 and 12 series (both 4G and 5G variants), will also receive the update during this period.

Key Features and Innovations

HyperOS 2 introduces three major technological advances: HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI. The system brings several AI-enhanced features, including an AI-powered lock screen, a redesigned desktop layout, and a 3D real-time weather system. Users can also expect dynamic effects across screens and various other improvements aimed at enhancing the overall user experience.

Tablet and Wearable Support

The update isn't limited to smartphones. Xiaomi is extending HyperOS 2 to its tablet lineup, beginning with the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 in November. December will see the update reaching additional tablets, including the Xiaomi Pad 6, Poco Pad, and various Redmi Pad models. The Smart Band 9 Pro will also receive the update, marking Xiaomi's commitment to creating a cohesive ecosystem across all its devices.

Legacy Device Support

While HyperOS 2 shows impressive backward compatibility by supporting devices from 2020, some notable exclusions exist. Certain models like the Poco X4 Pro and the standard Poco F4 won't receive the update, highlighting Xiaomi's selective approach to maintaining software support for its extensive device portfolio.
