Realme GT 7 and GT 7T Launch Globally with 7,000mAh Batteries and 120W Charging

Realme has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphones at a launch event in Paris, France, bringing the GT 7 and GT 7T to global markets with impressive battery technology and performance capabilities. The launch marks a significant expansion of Realme's GT series, featuring devices that prioritize extended usage and rapid charging solutions.

Global GT 7 Differs from Chinese Variant

The global version of the Realme GT 7 introduces several key modifications compared to its Chinese counterpart. The international model features the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset instead of the Dimensity 9300+, offering enhanced Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The display has been adjusted to a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, stepping down from the 144Hz panel found in the Chinese version. However, the global variant compensates with an improved camera system that includes a dedicated 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, paired with a 50MP main shooter using the Sony IMX906 sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultrawide lens.

Revolutionary Battery Technology Takes Center Stage

Both the GT 7 and GT 7T feature a massive 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 120W wired fast charging, representing one of the largest battery capacities in the smartphone market. Realme claims the charging system can reach 50% capacity in just 14 minutes, with a complete 0-100% charge taking approximately 40 minutes. The company demonstrates the battery's capabilities by stating that the GT 7 can play PUBG continuously for seven hours at 120fps while maintaining stable temperatures around 40°C (104°F). This endurance is complemented by Realme's new IceSence cooling technology, which incorporates graphene to achieve superior heat dissipation compared to traditional copper heat sinks, reportedly reducing chipset temperatures by up to 6°C.

GT 7T Offers Affordable Alternative

The GT 7T serves as a more budget-conscious option while maintaining the same impressive battery technology. It runs on a custom Dimensity 8400-Max chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The camera setup is simplified to a dual configuration featuring a 50MP main sensor (IMX896) and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Despite the reduced specifications, the GT 7T retains the 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness, along with the same 7,000mAh battery and 120W charging capabilities as its premium sibling.

Special Edition Celebrates Formula One Partnership

Realme has introduced a GT 7 Dream Edition developed in collaboration with the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team. This limited variant showcases the signature Racing Green color scheme, an engraved silver wings badge, and exclusive packaging that includes a Silver Wing phone case and an F1 racecar SIM card pin. The Dream Edition upgrades the RAM to 16GB while maintaining the same core specifications as the standard GT 7, appealing to motorsport enthusiasts and collectors seeking a distinctive design.

Software Support and Durability Features

Both devices launch with Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, with the company promising four years of operating system updates and six years of security patches. The smartphones achieve IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, ensuring durability in challenging environments. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.4, with both models featuring under-display optical fingerprint scanners for secure authentication. The comprehensive software support and robust build quality position these devices as long-term investments for users seeking reliable performance and extended device lifecycles.
