Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 foldable smartphones have been inadvertently leaked through official marketing materials, giving us our first clear look at the devices ahead of their expected July launch.
Design Changes for the Z Fold6
The Galaxy Z Fold6 appears to be getting a notable design refresh:
- Sharper corners and flatter sides, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Slimmer bezels, potentially enabling a 22:9 aspect ratio on the cover display (vs 23.1:9 on the Z Fold5)
- Vertical triple camera array on the rear
- Overall dimensions likely to remain similar to the previous model
Z Flip6 Updates More Subtle
The Z Flip6 seems to retain a familiar form factor:
- Dual rear cameras
- Larger cover display, possibly expanding from 3.4 to 3.9
- Cover screen appears to extend closer to the camera module
Shared Specifications and Features
Both devices are expected to include:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor (no Exynos variant planned)
- Galaxy AI features
- 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging
- Wi-Fi 6 support (notably lacking Wi-Fi 7)
The Z Flip6 specifically is rumored to have a larger 3,887mAh rated battery capacity, up from 3,591mAh in the Z Flip5.
Launch Details
Samsung is reportedly planning to unveil these devices, along with the Galaxy Watch 7 series and potentially the Galaxy Ring, at an Unpacked event on July 10th. While pricing details haven't leaked, the company's decision to use only Snapdragon chips (forgoing an Exynos variant) was reportedly made to keep costs in check.

The Z Fold6 appears to have slightly sharper edges and is shown in grey-silver and navy blue colors. The Z Flip6 maintains a similar design to its predecessor with color-matched camera rings, available in grey-silver and light blue. Both devices share a grey-silver colorway, sparking speculation about potential titanium construction. The leak also includes renders of the Galaxy Watch7, Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro, showcasing various color options and design features for Samsung's upcoming wearable lineup.
