Advanced Camera System

The Nubia Z70S Ultra's standout feature is its sophisticated camera array, headlined by a 50MP Light and Shadow Master 990 custom sensor from OmniVision. According to Nubia, this 1/1.3 sensor delivers image quality that exceeds one-inch standards, paired with a fixed f/1.7 35mm lens. The main camera features both horizontal and vertical phase detection autofocus along with dual conversion gain HDR technology for improved dynamic range. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the inclusion of a physical shutter button that supports half-press focusing and full-press capture, mimicking the experience of traditional cameras.

Supporting the main sensor is a versatile camera system that includes a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2 sensor and a 50MP ultrawide camera utilizing a 1/2.88 sensor. The ultrawide module also supports macro photography, adding to the device's versatility. For selfie enthusiasts, the Z70S Ultra incorporates a 16MP under-display front camera, maintaining the phone's all-screen aesthetic. Nubia is also offering a separate Retro photography kit that includes a specialized case, filter adapter rings, and a camera grip with additional controls for those seeking a more professional photography experience.

Powering the Z70S Ultra is Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on an advanced 3nm process and paired with an Adreno 830 GPU. The device comes in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, or 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. Both variants utilize LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage technologies for rapid performance.
